Innovating Energy Management

  • Combustion engine vehicles have the unique advantage of using an energy carrier with very high energy density (fuel) that can be obtained everywhere through a vast supply infrastructure (gas stations). Therefore, combustion engine vehicles have a virtually unlimited range, which made them the predominant technology of choice for personal transport for more than 100 years - despite high deficiencies in efficiency and environmental impact.

  • Electrical engine vehicles have the disadvantage of an energy carrier with a very low energy density - the best Li-Ion batteries reach only about 3% of the energy density of fuel! Therefore, their obvious advantages in terms of engine efficiency and environmental impact are more than offset by a lack of reach, power and ubiquitous energy supply infrastructure.

Clean Mobile Drives can address these disadvantages by providing an environmentally friendly, efficient on-board energy supply trough a DMFC (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell). Thus, the disadvantages of batteries can be overcome and a driving performance similar to combustion engine vehicles can be achieved with an electrical vehicle for the first time in history - with all the advantages of an electrical engine.
